It was in October 2012 when I was searching for a new revenue stream online. I recalled coming across something called the Empower Network several times previously and made myself a mental note to “check it out some time”.  I decided to dig in and research this thing I saw popping up all over the place online.  After a couple of weeks of intense research I decided to sign up.

What Exactly is the Empower Network anyway?

If you don’t already know about the Empower Network, it was founded by David Wood and David Sharpe. Both of these guys have a rags to riches story similar to many, so I was very intrigued by how they were able to pull themselves up through the success of Empower Network. David Wood was once a broke  homeless guy that lived in a van with his wife. While my situation certainly was not ever quite as bad, I did relate to his story about being broke and jobless and having a crappy living situation in general for I had been there a couple of times in life.

His partner – David Sharpe – is a former alcoholic that used to work in the construction industry. However, today they are both making 5 to 6 figures every month through this opportunity. In the past 12 months they have paid out $17,000,000 in commissions to their 50,000+ team members.

These two guys are not from the mold of what I know as the ordinary business professional perception. As a matter of fact I found myself thinking David wood has a knack of being quite unprofessional at times. well exactly what you see. I for one found this quite refreshing. He is who he is and he stands proud of that and tries to be nothing else. I will also add he is a very powerful speaker mainly because of that real passion he has inside. He also has I believe learned VERY quickly many of the necessary business lessons he has needed to and that both he and Dave Sharpe are now a business force to be reckoned with.

O.K., so now it may be useful to you to understand why I chose to join the Empower Network, but rather than take a bunch of your time I will leave that choice to you. This system seems to be a good fit to round out my personal business diversification strategy, and the refreshing approach of  a well structured family of marketable products that pay out nearly 100% commissions.

Is this Network Marketing?

I have been a part of different network marketing companies earlier in life.  I experienced failure, and learned some very valuable lessons. A couple of the biggest issues I kept running into were people either misrepresenting the products or the opportunity. In other cases it was products that were not marketable and competitive in the marketplace. Over the years I have developed a fairly simple but powerful set of criteria an opportunity must meet in order to make sense to me. The Empower Network seemed to meet these criteria.

In the not so distant past I had also been involved with a very solid company with a great product and marketing plan, but found I was not really interested in the minimal commissions available of $2-$25 per sale on a good day. This further required making several phone calls to earn this money, and needless to say took a lot of volume to earn what I am used to. Simply put, instead of selling overpriced vitamins for $75 and keeping a small percent of the sale, David Wood setup the Empower Network so that members get to keep 100% of every sale (less some necessary costs of doing business).  Now this definitely  got my attention because I could actually see this being a viable business model. I would classify the empower Network as more of a new twist on an affiliate marketing “system”. It has the positives of affiliate marketing, plus the advantages of higher commissions and a basically turn key sales system. (I will share a bit later how we take this to the next level for you!)

What Does Empower Network Offer?

1.) The blogging platform and Fast Track training series (which you get access to when you first sign up).

The blogging system and Fast Track videos provide you with everything you need to get started with the Empower Network.  The concept is to create quality content, post it to your blog and then share that content to get visitors to your blog.

The blog framework is setup for you instantly when you join.  I can tell you from personal experience it will save you months if not years of trial, error, and expense to learn all the “hidden” nuances of having your own blog. Most people that are looking for some kind of online income do not know the technical side of setting up a blog so this is a very easy solution.  The blog is already installed and optimized so all you have to do is create content.

The blogging system also includes a great series of 8 Fast Track training videos.  They give you step by step guidance to get started.  They also include an in-depth explanation of how and why the blogging platform works so well.  They also share some core business principles that will help in your new Empower Network Business.

The Inner Circle is a library of audios.  I love that fact that they did this as it makes it easy to take the training with you in your car, or if you are out on a walk or whatever else you do in a day that has you away from your computer. They feature a ton of good information from top industry experts. This also includes inspirational and motivational audio sessions from the Empower Network founders and successful Empower Network team members.

The Inner Circle audios truly can be a good way to get into the minds of already successful people, strengthen your mindset, and hear about some of the things other successful members are doing.

3.) The Costa Rica Intensive

In The Costa Rica Intensive training you will learn things such as why it is so important to build more trust with the people. Building  trust always takes time and is not something that is easily given by people.  You have to first build a relationship and trust will naturally flow from there. This is perhaps one of the core reasons the Empower Network was built around a blogging system. This module will teach you how to utilize this powerful platform to help you build that rapport as well as ways to successfully drive traffic to your blog.

The Costa Rica Intensive is made up of a series of videos that focus on building a business using a long term vision.  It is quite strategic in nature but also includes some very practical lessons you can apply as soon as you see them.

Perhaps the most important thing to understand is that you can acquire all the basic knowledge in the world, the best writing skills and a blog that is full of pure gold but if you don’t know how to promote it and get traffic to it, you are dead in the water. In addition, in my opinion, this is where the Empower network business opportunity really shines.

The Higher level training courses provide just about every internet marketing strategy you can think of all in one place. They have further developed them with the participation of several experts that are already extremely successful online. At this point I’d like to just share with you one of the most valuable pieces of wisdom I have concluded in my business life to date.

If Anyone ventures to build a home based business it is often for one of two reasons, that is to supplement their current job income or to gain the freedom that comes with having one’s own business. 1. FEAR – This is probably the number one reason anyone would choose to shy away from a program like this. Now make no mistake fear can come in many forms. For example, you may have a fear of failure, or lack of confidence. You may have fear of how to overcome obstacles. I could go on and on, but the point is fear of the unknown is almost always a factor in our failures.

2. Arrogance – now please do not be offended this is not a personal assessment of you. It is meant to point out that if one does not have fear of some sort as in number 1, they would have to have arrogance in the sense that they simply feel they are “above” this program. That does not make you a bad person, it simply means this is not a good fit for you.

3. Indifference – well, I have found indifferece to be merely Fear in disguise so see #1  :)

Listen, it has been proven time and time again that failure to take action due to some sort of fear (that we many times cannot or will not even recognize) causes more stories of business failures than any other. I have learned long ago to make “obstacles, or “concerns” into Challenges. To some this may sound a bit cliche’, but I am challenging you to see it for the powerful business strategy it truly is. When you can do this, you will experience great freedom. You will be able to look at an opportunity, and see the negatives as challenges not as deal breakers, then, and only then can you see the good things it may have to offer you.

It is my opinion that their are a few possible challenges with The Empower Network.
